Just browsing the net today, I came across the following article in the Belfast Telegraph:
Irish rockers Aslan stamp on An Post 'snub'

Irish rockers Aslan are preparing to wage war on the Irish postal service after they were snubbed by An Post's new 'top bands collection.'
The Dublin group -- Christy Dignam, Joe Jewell, Billy McGuinness, Alan Downey and Rodney O'Brien -- have hit back by having their own stamp designed, which bears a picture of the group and their official logo. The mock-up Aslan postage stamp is even marked with a cost price of 55c.

Heard bout this song ages ago and forgot all bout it, could never find it on the internet. i remembered about it today and searched for it on youtube, its not the original video but at least we can listen to it. the guy singing the first two verses sounds familiar, cant think of his name.....

aslan are on the strawberry alarm clock on fm 104 this monday 1st feb
they are also on the ian dempsey show on today fm on tues 2nd feb

Imagine my surprise yesterday when I get a text from my mother telling me that she's just noticed a noticeboard to say that Aslan are playing the East End Hotel in Portarlington ... less than 1 km from my house!
Jesus Christ I spent 11 years in the UK wanting to see Aslan and now here I am home and the boys playing on my own door step! HAPPY DAYS!
I'll see you very soon lads! Can't feckin wait!
Dare I ask ... anyone else going?
